THE WATCHFUL SHEPHERD USA

The Watchful Shepherd program grew out of an inspiration to apply a practical solution to family violence and the abuse of children. This program has been an attempt to take on a very upsetting topic, the dark side of family life, and the abuse and violence which polarizes families and social institutions in general.
The Watchful Shepherd USA is a non-profit organization that is based in McMurray, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh. The program was initiated at Canonsburg General Hospital in 1993. Since 1993, the Watchful Shepherd program of child abuse prevention has been successfully implemented and has protected thousands of children between the ages of 3 and 18.
