Rice has been under its current ownership since 1980, and has shown steady and consistent growth. Today, Rice Electric operates out of a full service electro-mechanical repair facility in Eighty-Four PA. 

JOB SUMMARY

This fast-paced role requires critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Applicants are expected to work in a team atmosphere and handle a number of tasks with varying degrees of difficulty. Will work on all types of industrial equipment including but not limited to; AC and DC electric motors, controls, centrifugal pumps, vertical turbine pumps, generators, gearboxes, etc.

SKILLS NEEDED

  • Excellent mechanical aptitude

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Use of hand tools

  • Operate shop equipment

  • Operate manual machine shop equipment

  • Fabricate parts

  • Equipment disassembly 

  • Inspect, clean, paint and evaluate equipment

  • Field removal, installation, and alignments

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 Years industrial experience

  • Availability for overtime and emergency work

  • Ability to operate: fork lift, overhead crane, testing equipment, and hand tools

  • Valid drivers license

  • Pre-employment screening
